Hall Wood is 48 acres of ancient Woodland in the local planning authority of Brentwood Essex and in the National Characteristic Area 111 The upper Thames Basin.

By allocating and managing parcels of land for the improvement of Biodiversity for a minimum period of 30 years, landowners can be allocated Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units for sale to Developers to enable them to demonstrate the net 10% biodiversity improvement now required as a planning condition in England.
